Rev. David Shafer
Senior Pastor
Pastor David, an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church, has been a vital part of our NAW community since he first joined us in April 1988. Initially taking on the role of youth pastor in 2006, Pastor David made a significant impact by connecting with and guiding our younger members. His journey within the church saw him progress to assistant pastor in 2014, demonstrating his deep understanding and dedication to our community's needs. In June 2018, he stepped into his current role as senior pastor, where he continues to lead with wisdom and commitment.
Alongside his pastoral duties, Pastor David's personal life is rich with love and support. He is happily married to Marcy, and together they have two children, Andrew and Emily. Their family life adds to our church's strong sense of community and belonging. Pastor David's journey is a testament to his dedication to his faith and our congregation, making him a cherished leader and member of the NAW family.

Rev. James Scott Stamper
Executive Pastor
Pastor Scott has been a cornerstone of the NAW community since he began his journey with us in 1984, bringing with him a deep commitment and passion for our church's mission. Ordained as a Wesleyan pastor, his path through our community has been marked by significant contributions and evolving leadership roles. His expertise and trustworthiness led him to the role of treasurer in 2006, where he diligently managed our finances, ensuring our church's resources were wisely stewarded.
In 2012, Pastor Scott expanded his service to our community by stepping into the role of assistant pastor. His dedication and leadership were further recognized in June 2018 when he was appointed as executive pastor. In this pivotal role, he continues to guide our church with vision and wisdom, overseeing our day-to-day operations and strategic planning with a heart firmly rooted in our faith and community values.
At home, Pastor Scott's life is enriched by the love and support of his family. Married to Kelly, they share the joy of parenting their two children, Garrith and Mackenzie. Together, they embody the values of our church community, fostering a home filled with love, faith, and dedication to serving others. Pastor Scott's journey reflects a steadfast commitment to our church and its members, making him a valued leader and cherished part of the NAW family.
